To say that Robert Franklin Hamilton was born on march 31, 1834, is true, but it does not say enough for us to appreciate this man and the era into which he was born and the 89 years that he lived. He was an icon and halmark of his time. He had, in all, a total of sixty two grandchildren and was best known as a preacher of the Gospel and a man of convictions.
Many memorable stories are passed down of, and through, his life as a minister, a soldier, a farmer and a miller.
